Halo Darkness my old Friend
When Angie and I were on vacation we visited the Mayan ruins of Tulum. They are breathtaking and strange, but as we wandered around I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd been there before. It took me a while to place it, but I realized that it felt like a mix of the Warlock and Sanctuary maps in Halo.
Which might explain why I found this ad so moving.
Between Halo 3 and a new baby, I will probably never be heard from again.
Also -we've just launched a site at work for a book called The Electric Church. Check it out. The book is all gunplay and cyborgs and bad religion. Which is to say sweet.

Harry Potter, lost in Mexico
Also, I wasn't really interested in the final Harry Potter book, but this essay on Snape by Orson Scott Card has forced me to reevaluate everything I thought I knew about the books (and about Card)
